Recently I've been developing an interactive map that I can use with the site. Currently I've gotten the map to render, pan and zoom. but the eventual size of the map will be massive with a drawing space of currently 3 million points by 2 million points the polygon rendering would be too heavy for the site, So I'm thinking of making the map produce a list of images and as the main map is updated it will automatically regenerate the desired images which will be auto loaded to the server to replace existing images.

This is really great because I will be able to the detail a map of a city or village and that city/village will appear on all desired images automatically. Also I should be able to produce image maps to place over the image so that you can jump to the location in a map and view it that way.
